sorry celine, we love our boyfriends, but we love champaign and chocolate as well, especially champagne chocolate sauce. it makes a great topping for ice cream.

2 dark chocolate candy bars, chopped
1 tablespoon butter
1/2 cup champagne


melt chocolate and butter, stirring after 30 seconds. Whisk in champagne, whisking until chocolate melts and is smooth

savoy truffle

we owe this post to the american idols this week paying homage to the beatles and we thought we'd follow suit with a post about their song savoy truffle:

Harrison apparently wrote the song as a tribute to Eric Clapton's chocolate addiction, and derived the title and many of the lyrics from a box of Mackintosh Good News chocolates.

We've searched the web to buy one of these yummy boxes, but alas came up empty. If you know anything about the chocolate company let us know.

meatloaf won't do that

Easiest Lemon Pie You'll Ever Make:

One small can frozen lemonade
One can sweetened condensed milk
10 ounces cool whip
Prepared graham cracker crust

Beat together lemonade, milk and whipped topping until combined. Pour into crust and freeze.

millions of peaches peaches for me

millions of peaches peaches for free. well they might not be free, and a million would sure be a lot, but if you did have a million peaches for free here's a quick peach cobbler recipe (and the presidents of the united states video too).



5 cups sliced peaches
1 cup self-rising flour
1 cup sugar
1 large egg, beaten
1/2 cup butter
cinnamon
nutmeg

Sprinkle sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg on peaches. Toss. Place in shallow dish. Mix sugar, flour, and egg to a crumb-like texture. Pour over peaches. Melt butter and drizzle over crumbs. Bake at 350° for 30 minutes.

Juice and Gin Recipe

Consider the Abbey for your next brunch. It's very simple to make and the orange bitters add a kick.

1 1/2 ounces orange juice
2 ounces gin
2 dashes orange bitters

Pour the ingredients into a cocktail shaker with ice cubes. Shake well. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with a cherry.
