What is the Mediterranean diet?

A typical meal consists of salad with olive oil, fresh grilled fish and red wine. It's very heart healthy. Eat mostly fruits and vegetables and consume only healthy fats like olive and canola oil, cut the red meat and eat lots of fish and red wine. Beans, lentils and lemons are also common elements.
